The original post is in French (which I unfortunately do not speak) but she also provides some general instructions in English. I would definitely make this one again - the only thing I would do differently is unpick the bottom hem of the skirt before I sewed it together to reduce a little of the bulkiness, but really it's not bad as is.
Beautiful! I will definitely be trying this. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeletevery nice idea - I like both the original and yours. And it seems like you inspired the creator of the tuturial to try another top from a skirt like yours ;)

ReplyDeleteVery nice! I remember seeing the other one and thinking how creative it was (though I don't speak French either :-P). It's fun to see another version and get an idea for the variety of what you can do with that idea.
ReplyDeleteI love it and would love if you entered my linky party at http://tinyurl.com/upcycled31 if you have any more recycled/upcycled projects please link them up and let your friends know. I am trying to reach 100 upcycled projects this week and I would really appreciate you help!

ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, stumbled across your blog and love your refashioning ideas.
ReplyDeleteI started on something similar just last month but mine is short sleeved (as I live on the Equator) and I've added lace.
