Skirt to Top Refashion

I saw this tutorial the other day and thought it was one of the coolest, easy refashions that I've seen in a while. It's basically taking an old wool skirt, turn it upside down, add a couple of seams, a couple of cuts for armholes, and you have a warm and cozy top:



The original post is in French (which I unfortunately do not speak) but she also provides some general instructions in English. I would definitely make this one again - the only thing I would do differently is unpick the bottom hem of the skirt before I sewed it together to reduce a little of the bulkiness, but really it's not bad as is.

  8. Very nice! I remember seeing the other one and thinking how creative it was (though I don't speak French either :-P). It's fun to see another version and get an idea for the variety of what you can do with that idea.
