Making Me Happy Monday

Ok, I have a confession to make. Something that's kind of hard to admit, something I don't think I've every really told anyone. Here goes - I don't really like weekends. Yes, I know, it's CrAzY! Maybe it's because I'm a stay-at-home mom and I get to spend a lot of time at home because I don't remember feeling this way when I went out to a job. Back then I was like everyone else and loved my weekends of freedom. But these days, I just find myself floating around on the weekend, not knowing what to do with myself. I do much better with the structured regularity of weekdays. I like a routine. But I really tried to enjoy and embrace the non-routine this past weekend. To just relax! And you know what, it was a nice weekend. So here is my weekend in pictures:

this little guy doesn't have any trouble with "doing nothing"

my husband made breakfast

coffee and a book

dinner out

a little crafting - a "Go Green" gift pack made for my mother-in-law - includes 2 reusable grocery bags, 12 cloth napkins, and reusable water bottles

a little thrifting - vintage pillowcases to be made into a baby quilt for my soon to be new niece

And finally, this is my friend, Amy - a mom, yoga instructor, entrepreneur, and all around amazing woman. You can check out her blog and read her take on weekends here - what's funny is we both wrote "weekend" posts without knowing the other was doing it!

  2. I agree, the "Go Green kit" is a wonderful gift idea. I love anything that gives me an excuse to give handmade items.
