A Couple of Crochet Projects

I finally finished this afghan!! It wasn't a hard pattern, it just seemed to take me forever - but that could be because I chose to use a lightweight, thinner yarn.
From this free pattern from Lion Brand.

And my dishcloths were starting to look a little tattered so I crocheted up a few new ones:

  2. I just love your color palate...did you use what you had on hand; or (hopefully) do you have them to share with us? It sure is a fun variation of the traditional square granny quilt; and inspires me to get started on an afghan for Christmas!

  3. Tracy - the yarn I used for the afghan was all thrifted, and of course without tags to identify it. I'm pretty sure it was a cotton/cotton blend. And I supplemented with 2 strands of crochet thread held together when I needed more colors.
