A New Favorite TV Show

TV has been a little lacking lately. I haven't found a show that I'm excited about. I've worked my way through all of the Glee episodes on Netflix (I'm behind so I can't watch them in real time). And Mad Men has taken an almost 2 year break. Really? Can someone explain that to me??

And then I discovered Downton Abbey.


It's really, really good. I blew through the entire first season in a matter of days (I may have stayed up later than I should have in doing so). Don't let the fact that it's a PBS series scare you off.

So, is anyone else as obsessed with this show as I am?

  1. I am planning to start watching this through Amazon Prime. I have downloaded the first two seasons. I am fascinated by royalty and this is right down my alley.

  3. I love anything they show on Masterpiece Classic! But Downton Abbey has definitely been a highlight. I also enjoyed Larkrise to Candleford and the Cranford series. You might want to check them out, too.

  5. I want to be. Can't get PBS on my tv antenna, and I am 25th in line for borrowing the first season from my library. Gosh, am I old school or what?

  8. Yes! Love Downton Abbey!! I have Ssn 2 disc 2 & 3 on my Netflix DVD queue which comes out on Feb 7th.

  9. Oh I love Downton Abbey......Martin (my partner) would laugh at me because for a while there I would call it "Downtown Abbey" haha.....i love the story line, the fashion and the interiors. It has a big following here in Australia and we are about to start the new season soon!

  10. Yes, I watched it within days on netflix. There is a second season on direct TV. My library has a waiting list of 64 people for the second season... seems to be awfully popular.

  11. Oh, Downton Abbey! My fiance and I are in love with it. Did you know you can watch the second season and the xmas special on Project Free TV?!? It was a dangerous discovery for me, but the second season will not let you down! just search "project free tv" and search for downton abbey on their site! ♥♥♥
